RGV Credit Union: Interview with RGV Alliance’s Jesse Gonzalez

RGV Alliance, a premier construction installer located in Edinburg, Texas, was introduced to Bautex Systems through mutual partners a few years ago. Earlier this year, when RGV Credit Union and TGS Architects, Inc. decided to use Bautex Wall System in the Harlingen bank’s renovation project, RGV Alliance’s team once again conducted a hands-on training and wall build demo with Bautex’s Duane Holloway.

The Bautex Wall System’s versatility and ease of installation allowed us to meet the project work schedule,” said Jesse Gonzalez, Partner of RGV Alliance Construction. The Bautex Blocks also go up quicker than traditional concrete block.” Gonzalez says that the training he and his team received was informative and ensured that RGV Credit Union’s walls went up quickly and easily. Gonzalez’s team is busy on four projects at Texas A&M University; an academic facility at the UTRGV-Brownsville campus; STC in McAllen and Weslaco; and the expansion and renovation taking place at La Plaza Mall in McAllen.

In August 2016, the RGV Credit Union project gained the attention of architects and construction leaders throughout the Rio Grande Valley when Bautex hosted a Hard Hat Tour in conjunction with the local chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA). The tour highlighted how the new building envelope using Bautex Block will ensure the RGV Credit Union building will meet and exceed the newest building codes for energy efficiency (IECC 2015), which go into effect in Texas in November 2016. New codes require higher levels of continuous insulation to reduce the amount of thermal bridging that can cause building temperatures to fluctuate, making HVAC systems work harder.
