JA Greene Construction Builds Medical Office for Texas Surgical Dermatology

Over the past few years, a healthy portion of JA Greene Construction Services’ projects have been in the medical field. This year, Texas Surgical Dermatology, PA chose the Houston-based design/build general contractor to oversee the design and construction of its newest medical office build in Spring, TX, designed by CDA Architects. ASA Dally Structural Engineers and Outlier Engineering served as the structural engineers, and GWS Services, Inc. was the installing contractor on the project.

The building owner, Dr. Tri Nguyen, is board certified in dermatology and is fellowship trained in Mohs surgery, the gold standard for treating skin cancers. Dr. Nguyen wanted to incorporate feng shui techniques into his new building and also build a sustainable office, using as many Texas-based companies and materials as possible. In addition to a more sustainable building, Bautex System’s insulated concrete wall system also creates more comfortable, energy-efficient, stronger and safer buildings.

Jonathan Greene, owner of JA Greene, cites Bautex Block as a lower-cost option than concrete tilt walls. He notes that it has a higher insulation value over traditional concrete, and, says that once trained on the system, it is simple to install.

Texas Surgical Dermatology, PA plans to move into the new facility in late-August 2016.
