Bautex Systems, LLC, a developer of energy efficient wall systems for commercial construction, broke ground today on the region’s first green manufacturing facility. The new facility is located in the H&H Industrial Park in San Marcos, Texas.
The company will manufacture the Bautex Block, a building product made from a unique insulating composite material that utilizes recycled components. The Bautex Block is the primary component of the Bautex Wall System – a commercial concrete wall system that integrates strength, durability, energy efficiency and design flexibility at a cost that is competitive with traditional building methods.
“We have seen significant demand over the last few years for innovative building products that meet ever-increasing energy efficiency and sustainability requirements without breaking budgets or causing inefficiencies in the construction process,” said Paul Brown, President of Bautex Systems. “The Bautex Wall System delivers on these requirements, and our new production facility in San Marcos puts us in delivery range of some of the strongest commercial construction markets in the country.”
The new Bautex facility will utilize highly automated production systems developed for the company, and will be capable of producing Bautex Block in quantities required to service the commercial construction markets in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana.
Ironsight PSMT of San Antonio and Development 2000 of Austin are developing the property, and Harvey Cleary Builders is constructing the 18,200 square foot manufacturing building and 4,000 square foot office.
