Banking on Bautex Block: New Projects Starting in Rio Grande Valley, Austin

In addition to the projects currently underway in Houston and Austin, Bautex Systems is delivering Bautex Block to several new projects breaking ground in the Greater Austin-area and the Rio Grande Valley.

The architect for Verde Go, a new convenience store brand that will sell Valero gasoline, has chosen Bautex Block for the renovation of an existing 2,000 sq. ft. gas station and convenience store located in north Austin. Work is set to begin this summer. Additionally, Verde Go will soon begin construction of a new 5,000 sq. ft. convenience store gas station with a sandwich shop located in south Austin.

Architects specified Bautex Wall Systems to meet higher standards for energy efficiency and building performance as proscribed by 2015 IECC building energy codes, which are effective for all new construction in Texas on November 1, 2016. Building with Bautex Block lets the owners of Verde Go stay with a more durable concrete or masonry construction instead of light gauge steel framing, and it does so at a competitive cost.

Later in summer 2016, a project team begins work on an expansion of a Rio Grande Valley Credit Union located in Harlingen. This new office building is Bautex Systems’ first project to be constructed in the Valley.
