Plas­ter­MaxTM is an extremely hard mineral-based interior plaster that is highly resistant to impact, abrasion and other abuses and provides out­stand­ing abuse resis­tance for high traffic and use building spaces. This abuse-resistant interior wall finish is an ideal finish for many com­mer­cial and insti­tu­tion­al buildings including education, retail, medical, hos­pi­tal­i­ty, public safety, cor­rec­tion­al facil­i­ties, and multi-family housing. 

High impact and abrasion resistance At an incredible 8,500 PSI compressive strength, PlasterMax is one of the most durable interior wall finishes available today.
Non-combustible Does not burn and provides an additional layer of protection form fires and flame spread indoors. Meets NFPA 101 Life Safety Code.
Low shrinkage Mineral-based cement does not shrink during curing unlike Portland cement, reducing chances for cracking of the finish.
Low VOC Natural ingredients and low in volatile organic compounds for quality indoor environments.


initial Pass
An initial base coat of material is troweled and spread evenly onto the wall.
Fiberglass Mesh
An 11-ounce fiberglass mesh is worked into the base layer using a trowel.
Final Pass
A final coat is troweled onto the wall while the material is still wet and then worked to final finish.

Plas­ter­Max finish options include (1) hard troweled to a smooth flat finish, (2) worked with a sponge trowel to reveal fine aggregate for a textured finish, or (3) worked with a textured roller or stencil to create an orna­men­tal finish.

Application Rates

StuccoMax can be applied at different thick­ness­es, but is typically installed at 316″ final thickness for Level III (highest) abuse resis­tance. Following are typical yields for a 75 pound bag of Plas­ter­Max material:

Finish Options

Concrete Sealer
StuccoMax can be left a natural tan color by simply applying a concrete sealer after the wall finish has cured.

In cases where a solid color is desired, StuccoMax can be painted.

Concrete Stain
StuccoMax will accept concrete stains, but the resulting color profile will tend to be more muted and mottled than a painted wall.
