Inside Sales Representative


The Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for supporting the Bautex Architectural Sales Representatives across all territories in order to increase team efficiency and sales effectiveness. This position will require someone willing to think outside the box and be willing to challenge the team. This person will also be helping to prepare for sales and marketing campaigns by researching and updating accounts, contacts, projects and opportunities in Salesforce (CRM). This will include firm size, markets served and missing contacts. Another key area will be helping to nurture and manage the sales pipeline. Since this person will be supporting field reps by creating and processing quotes and sales orders, they will have a strong understanding of the flow of projects within the Salesforce pipeline. This will allow them to make necessary changes, schedule tasks, and follow up on needed information. Overall this person will be a key part of the team to help drive results. 

Key Responsibilities

Lead Generation

  • Regular scheduled targeted search of online plan room services (CMD)
  • Identify targets through prospecting and some cold calling.

Sales Team Support

  • Work with each sales person on quotes and sales orders.
  • Each quote will be attached to the opportunity within Salesforce.
  • Assist in planning and working tradeshows.
  • Complete follow up documents from A&E presentations and add missing attendees to Salesforce contacts within each firm.

Pipeline Management

  • Create/update opportunities as needed, attach documents and quotes.
  • Track projects post-bid to identify awarded GC and communicate to sales team within that area of coverage.


Key Skills Required

  • Salesforce.com knowledge a must
  • Strong Microsoft Word and Excel experience with ability to organize information quickly.
  • Navigation of online plan room and solid research skills generally
  • Ability to work within a team environment
