Design and Construction of 2015 Building and Energy Code-Compliant Exterior Wall Systems

New AIA Continuing Education program from Bautex

Bautex Systems is offering a new AIA Continuing Education Program, “Considerations and Impacts to Design and Construction of 2015 Building and Energy Code-Compliant* Exterior Wall Systems.” Offered as Lunch & Learn style in-person instruction, this American Institute of Architects (AIA) CES approved course provides a detailed review of impacts in the design and construction of exterior wall systems as a result of the 2015 International Building Code (IBC) and International Energy Conservation Code (IECC), and identifies strategies for increasing performance and simplifying construction utilizing monolithic insulated mass wall systems.

During this one-hour course, we will cover:

Building envelope insulation and energy efficiency requirements in the 2015 IECC and methods for compliance.
Regional air tightness requirements in the 2015 IECC and methods for compliance.
Fire and life safety impacts and testing requirements for wall systems resulting from increased insulation requirements in the 2015 codes.
Design changes and impacts of the 2015 codes on traditional wall systems.
Performance and benefits of monolithic insulated mass wall systems to conventional built-up wall assemblies.

Participants earn 1 LU | HSW.
