As seen in Texas Architect

San Marcos, Texas -- In its July/August 2015 issue, Texas Architect lauds the renovation and new facilities at Sea Scout Base Galveston in “Lessons by the Sea” written by Erika Huddleston. Sea Scout Base Galveston is a non-profit marine and maritime educational center offering aquatic education programs that instill lifetime leadership, teamwork skills, and independence in body, mind and spirit. In conjunction with various organizations including the Bay Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America, Sea Scout Base-Galveston provides programs for all ages. The ambitious project is the result of the commitment and vision of Charles and Rosemary Doolin. Randall-Porterfield Architects specified Bautex Block for the project structures including the dormitory and Ranger House. Learn about its unique mission and programs in this Texas Architect feature section, Learning Environments.
